HALF TERM TATE MODERN GALLERY DAY

What to Expect

A day of visual inspiration at Tate Modern! This half term we will be giving the children the chance to see the widely acclaimed Cezanne exhibition - a great opportunity to see his impressive body of work and explore his post impressionist style. It will transport them into Cezanne’s unique vision and glorious scenes from the south of France. We cannot wait! We will also explore the three dimensional world of Magdalena Abakanowicz and her radical sculptures made from woven fibres. Complete with some fun sketchbook activities along the route and time in the UNIQLO Tate Play THREADS Studio where we will experiment with weaving, big and small through stitching, looping and colouring different textiles, which can be hung, draped, or wrapped and taken home. (Exhibition entry, sketchbook, artist materials and activities all included!) NB. All children will need to bring their own packed lunch, snacks and water bottle. (No nuts)
