Forest Life

January 30, 2017

This week's inspiration comes from Canadian artist Emily Carr, whose dark and rhythmic forest landscapes with their vast spiritual skies provided the children with an opportunity to explore how to compose a dramatic scene in a tonal colour palette.  The children practised using quick swooshing strokes of the brush to create movement and texture.  We were blown away by the results for a group of artists all under age 8!
