Georges Roualt inspired self-portraits!

February 6, 2017

This weekend we asked the children to take a look at their own faces and to draw a self-portrait in the style of artist Georges Roualt. His use of muted tones and the subtle and sombre mood his work evokes inspired their own interpretation. Using oil pastels as their medium meant that they could work more intuitively with the colours they chose. We love how each of the children responded to this task..each capturing an essence of themselves which is not an easy thing to do!
